Peloponnese Night at Mykonos

I had a wonderful dinner with my friend last night.

Cleng went for vacation last month and we were unable to have a bonding due to our hectic schedule. So when she came back, I invited her for dinner.

Mykonos has been one of my favorite restaurants in InterContinental Doha. Mykonos has a new theme every Tuesday which is Tour to Greece. Chef Ilias will bring you to different region in Greece without leaving Qatar.

Last night, they introduced Peloponnese Menu which is a 4-course menu. 

Weather is really good so we opted to seat in the restaurant's terrace.

Cleng & I had Pinot to match our dinner

Salad from Main region "Maniatiki", orange, potatoes & herbs

Red Snapper fillet "Lavraki", saute green leaves, lemon-caper vinaigrette

Chicken stew "Krasato" served with thick pasta & grated cheese

Orange pie "Portokalopita" served with vanilla ice cream

While eating, we are serenaded by Bouzuki band

My favorite is the salad. Aside from the presentation (me love some mason jars), I love baby potatoes. Cherry tomatoes are sweet and Rocca leaves are fresh.

My least favorite would be the dessert. (am not a sweet tooth)

What I love:

1. Portion is just right. 
2. Pasta is homemade and cooked to perfection. 
3. There's live entertainment
4. Very affordable! QR 170.00 for a 4-course meal? Who can beat that!

What I don't like:

1. Nothing!

Will I comeback? Definitely!!!

Verdict: 4/5

Prost!

Prost is a German word for Cheers. Why? Because this is an Oktoberfest entry.

I know, I know it is pretty late to put an entry about Oktoberfest but I wanted to share with you my Oktoberfest experience at InterContinental Doha.

Advance Happy Halloween!

Last October 23, our company organized a Pre-Halloween Party for the staff. We had pumpkin carving and costume competition. We also had some balloon popping game, mummy making and powder blowing contest. It was a fun night.

Hi there!!

It has been a busy week! I attended our monthly Winning Ways (small gathering of all employees of the company wherein we announce upcoming activities, promotions etc.) I went to our sister company to help in system configuration and attended a small celebration of a colleague's birthday.

My friend Mickey celebrated her birthday last June 1. She's a Gemini baby!

Her sister Mhavz decided to surprise her by organizing a small gathering to celebrate Mickey's birthday. When you are away from your family, your friends and colleagues become your family. 

Restaurant Review: Mykonos - Turning Greek!

Hi There!

Last May 26, we celebrated my cousin's birthday in Mykonos at InterContinental Doha. 

Mykonos is a Mediterranean Restaurant. It won Time Out's Family Restaurant for 2012.

The place is very cosy. The interior is mostly blue so it has that calming effect. They have a terrace which is next to the Hotel's pool. We opted to stay inside the restaurant as it is quite windy.
