In my attempt to save and experience a little luxury, it became my mission to find products that maybe considered a "dupe" for high-end or expensive products.
For today's Splurge or Steal, it would be Mousse Blush.
Okay, I know Maybelline Mousse Blush is a drugstore product and there are more expensive Mousse Blush available in the market. But for a cheapskate like me, this product is somehow over my budget (This girl needs to pay her bills, yah know).
I discovered Nichido through Say Tioco Artillero.

STEAL |
I discovered Nichido through Say Tioco Artillero.
Maybelline: Soft Plum, Nichido: Plum Brulee |
Left: Maybelline, Right Nichido |
Similarities:
- Both have shimmer on them
- Both are easy to apply
Difference:
- Packaging
- Maybelline is in a glass container and a little heavier while Nichido is in a plastic container.
- Maybelline is a little bulky while Nichido is very handy.
- Nichido actually has more product (7g). Maybelline is only 5.75g.
- Nichido has expiry date unlike Maybelline.
- Consistency:
Maybelline |
Nichido is actually creamy. |
- Scent:
- Maybelline has this strong scent that I can't explain. I smelled it a lot of times and it irritated my nose. lol
- Nichido has that "old crayon" scent. lol...
- I can't smell the scent when I'm applying the product.
- Price:
- Maybelline was around QR 45.00 which is roughly Php 480.00.
- Nichido was around Php 170.00.
I both love the products and will repurchase in case I ran out. I wanted to try other shades of Nichido Mousse Blush.

Katey
