Hi There!!!
I would like to share with you a beauty/health regimen that I have been doing for a month now.
My friend, Belle, introduced to me dry brushing. You maybe wondering what is dry brushing.
Dry Brushing is a technique for exfoliating skin using a dry, natural bristle brush to gently brush the skin. It is also called skin brushing or body brushing.

Dry Brushing is a technique for exfoliating skin using a dry, natural bristle brush to gently brush the skin. It is also called skin brushing or body brushing.
The Drybrushing Process
- Start with your feet, moving in soft circular movements (always moving towards the heart) first on the bottom of the feet, and then on the top.
- Work up each leg, one at a time, first the back of the leg (using the same soft circular, always towards the heart, movements) up through the buttock and then the front of the leg. Avoid any delicate skin, like the skin on the insides of the thighs.
- After you are finished with the lower half, start at the fingertips of one arm; move up the arm (palms of hands, back of hands, forearm, biscep) and towards the heart. Repeat on other arm.
- Move to the back (this is where a short handled brush may come in handy) working your movements towards your stomach, starting and finishing with one side of the back and then the other.
- When you get to your stomach, start at your lower abdomen and work your way up and end at your chest in an upward stroke.
- Rinse off and shower as normal.
Note: All information about dry brushing is available at drybrushing.net.
Dry Brushing removes dead skin cells and makes my skin smoother and healthier. It also increases blood circulation. They claim to reduce cellulite but I don't think it does. I normally dry brush twice a week, Saturdays and Wednesdays only. At first you might be uncomfortable with dry brushing but you just need to insure that you exert just enough pressure onto your skin.
Do give dry brushing a try and tell me your impression and experience.
Hope you learn something and till my next post.
xoxo,
Katey
